Pull a view out and put it where you need it

Drag a map, a chat or a file list past the edge of the window and it becomes its own window — so you can put the map on one screen and the work on another.

It stays on the project you pulled it from

A window popped out for one workspace keeps showing that workspace, even when the window you left moves on to something else. The crumb, the map and the files all agree about which project you are looking at.

It does not redecorate the window you left

A popped-out window starts with the sidebar shut and does not save that back. You pulled one view out to look at one thing; the list down the side is the shell you just stepped out of.

Panes split side by side inside a window too. Popping out is for a second screen, not the only way to see two things.
