Teach it a job once and call it by name
A skill is a job written down once — how to build a deck, how to check a page, how to write an email in your house style. The app finds them on disk and offers them where you type.
Found on disk, not registered in a database
Skills are read from your skills directories, each with a name and a description. Adding one is putting a folder in place; there is nothing to register and nothing to redeploy.
The palette completes, it does not run
Typing a slash offers the skills that exist and completes the one you pick into your message. It never fires a skill on its own — the send is still yours.
A skill is instructions, not a plugin. It changes what an agent knows about a job, and cannot reach anything you have not already given the app.
